Meet Dr. Mike Roig
Dr. Mike Roig was born and raised in South Florida. He attended Florida International University where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology and Chemistry. Dr. Roig went on to Nova Southeastern University College of Dentistry. Upon completion of his D.M.D he accepted a general practice residency position at Montefiore medical center in New York. While at Montefiore he received extensive surgical, critical care, and IV sedation training.
Dr. Roig accepted the opportunity to continue his education in post Graduate Periodontics in a Duel institution program at the Manhattan Veteran’s Hospital and New York University College of Dentistry. He has treated hundreds of our nations’ heroes and continues to do so as a Staff Periodontist/ Implantologist at the West Palm Beach Veteran’s Hospital. Dr. Roig’s passion for community dental health led him to Mission trips in Panama, Costa Rica, and Jamaica (twice). The mission provided dental care and education to remote communities with limited access to public health services.
Dr. Roig is Board Certified in Periodontology and Oral Implantology. He is an active member in the American Dental Association, The American Dental Society, American Society of Periodontics, The Northeastern Society of Periodontics, The North Broward Society of Dentistry, Central Palm Beach County Dental Association and is a Diplomate with the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Roig’s mission is to provide the best standard of care utilizing the most up to date techniques and methods available. Whether it’s to maintain existing dentition or restore a deficient patient to their optimum oral health. Dr. Roig received his Conscious Sedation training from Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York Medical College at the Westchester Medical Center and again at the Manhattan Veteran’s Hospital as part of his Periodontal training. Dr. Roig holds an IV sedation permit from the State of Florida and the State of New York. This permit allows him to perform IV conscious sedation procedures in his West Palm Beach office location.
